1. Navigation Settings
- Routing Activity
- Routing Activities other than 'Direct' require routable maps installed on the GPSr
- The device will calculate a route optimized for the selected activity
- Tip: Enabling more than one routable map may result in routing errors and/or adverse performance
- Available routing options will vary by activity
- Direct Routing (Line of sight navigation - Does not follow roads or tracks)

- Press (Find) or open 'Where To?' page and select desired waypoint, or
- Open 'Waypoint Manager' page and select desired Waypoint, or
- Open 'Map' page and select desired Waypoint

- Press (Find) or open 'Where To?' page and select desired POI, or
- Open 'Map' page and select desired POI
4. Navigating to a geocache
- Press (Find) or open 'Where To?' page and select desired Geocache, or
- Open 'Geocaching' page and select desired Geocache, or
- Open 'Map' page and select desired Geocache
5. Navigating to coordinates
- Press (Find) or open 'Where To?' page and select Coordinates
- Enter desired coordinates and select 'Go'
6. Navigating an activity
- Press (Find) or open 'Where To?' page and select 'Recording'
or 'Recorded Activities' and choose desired Activity

14. Off-Course Alarm
- Many Garmin GPSr can be configured to alert the operator when they
have wandered off-course.
- Open the 'Setup > Marine' page on the GPSr.
- Open 'Marine Alarm Setup'.
- Enable the 'Off Course Alarm'.
- Enter desired distance value:
- The default distance value of 0.31mi (0.50km) is sufficient for
navigating over water.
- A distance value of 0.01mi (0.02km) will alert when wandering ~52
feet (20 meters) off-course.
- A distance value of 0.05mi (0.08km) will
alert when wandering ~264 feet (80 meters) off-course.
15. Course Alerts
- Garmin GPSr capable of navigating courses can alert the user if they deviate from the selected course.
- Open the 'Setup > Routing' page on the GPSr.
- Open 'Course Alerts'.
- Select 'On' to enable 'Course Alerts'.
- Select 'Off' to disable 'Course Alerts'.
